Q What is your message for priests?
Sister Briege: I talk about personal holiness. The crisis in the priesthood is not celibacy; it is faith in Jesus Christ. People who have a relationship with Jesus Christ can't live with sin in their lives. So I pray that they have a living faith in Jesus Christ with the Eucharist in the centre of their lives. The tragedy in Ireland is that there is so much negativity and they get so discouraged.
The greatest need is to be a personal witness to Jesus Christ. If their message is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it will bear fruit. The people are hungry. If you look at any list of retreats, sometimes the person of Jesus isn't even mentioned, but there is nothing like spending time with the Eucharist. It is so easy to be attracted by good things, but leave out the most important thing, which is our prayer life.

Dear Sister Briege McKenna,
ReplyDeleteI came tohear about youfrom my very dear friend Fr. Jude of Zambia who told me about your book "miracles do happen" when I told him that I had been diagonised with terminal cancer. I purchasedand I do believe if you prayed for me I too could be healed of cancer and all the other diseases that I am effected with.
I am Celine Martinz of Perth, WA and met Fr.Jude in Zambia who was a great source of strength to me. He tells me he is your cousin.
Please pray for me Sister that I may be healed and filled with the Holy Spirit so that I may live the rest of my life pleasing to God, by doing His Holy Will, and thereby be welcomed into his kingdom when I die of old age and not these disease. Pleasealso pray for all my family in the same way.
Thank you and may God bless you and your healing ministry.I will be anxiously awaiting your reply. My email Id is celine_bttr@yahoo.com
Your sister in Christ,
CelineMartinz.
I have passed your prayer request on to Sister Briege. Please know that she and I will be praying for you before our Eucharistic Lord, along with all the Sisters at her convent.
ReplyDeleteAve Maria,
ReplyDeleteSister Briege: I attended a healing and prayer svce you lead a while ago in Atlanta, and bought the book Miracles do Happen. Since then I look forward to attend your prayer service again. My husband and I are consecrated third order of Jesus and Mary (Two Hearts,Dover,DE.) One of my favorite things to do is going to Adoration, especially 1 through 5 am. Please pray for the conversion/returned of my children and their families to the Cath. church. We have five grandchildren none of them are baptized. Especially my daughter (43yrs old) she attends a protestant church, does not believe in the Blessed Mother, the Eucharist and teaches her daughter almost 8yrs old the same. It is a long story, but you get the picture. In fact none of them speak to one another over gossip and unforgiveness. I have given my life to God, and our charism is victimhood. May God's will be done in my life for the good and glory of His kingdom ;however, Jesus said:"When two or more pray in the same accord, I am in the midst of them". Please pray for their convertion and reconciliation amogst themselves, as well as for all those who have left the Holy Church, and are confused and lost in the ways of the world. May Jesus truly present in the Holy sacrament through out the world graciously hear your prayers, and continued to bless all you do in His name. Amen.
hope to hear from you. carmela13@charter.net
