Do what you want to me, wicked and deceitful spirits, for you can only do what the Lord allows you to do. Therefore, I am happy to suffer everything that God lets you do to me.

Thank God we have Mother Mary to protect us from the enemy!
ReplyDeleteHave a very happy birthday today on this special feast of our Blessed Mother. I wish you many blessings this day and throughout the year, lived close to the heart of Mary.
Pax et bonum,
Jean
Father Michael Scanlan addresses this issue so brilliantly in his book "The Truth About Trouble." After reading his explanation, I realized for the first time that it is possible to rejoice in our suffering. If you get the chance, I would recommend getting a copy of it...it will excite you!
ReplyDeleteWhen Father Mike gave me the book, I read it 8 times the first week. I have re-read it propably 20 times in the past few months. It has changed my life more than any other book I have ever read (short of the Bible, of course.)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
