Silencing The Anger Within

St. John Climacus tells the story of a brother who moved from the coenobium of the community into a hermitage and was actually angered by the sound of the wind through the reeds. He had created an environment of silence but had not learned to silence the anger within his own soul and had achieved absolutely nothing in the end.
