Contract Between The World And The Brothers

There is a contract between the world and the brothers: The brothers are bound to give the world a good example, and the world to provide for their necessities. If, then, the brothers break their contract by reneging on their good example, the world will withdraw its hand in just censure.

    Brother Lesser, allow me to reiterate how much I LOVE your blog! In an age in which my generation only associates Holy Father Francis with environmentalism, this blog concretely shows his true adherence to the Gospel and the Church. Keep up the good work!

    You are absolutely correct! St. Francis is known for his love of nature and especially for this earth (our temporary home.)One need only read "The Canticle of Brother Sun and Sister Moon" to appreciate the fullness of St. Francis's gratitude to God for His wonderful gifts.

    Unfortunately,as you say, they have things reversed; they worship creation rather than its Creator.
