I want to take this opportunity to thank my friend, Russ Pulliam, who first introduced me to Gary Varvel almost 20 years ago in the offices of the Indianapolis Star. Russ is the Grandson of Eugene C. Pulliam of the Pulliam Newspaper Empire and the maternal Grandfather of Vice President Dan Quayle. all of whom are devout Christian men of faith.
