The Portiuncula, located in Jerusalem, Ohio, in the Diocese of Steubenville, is home to the Franciscan Lay Apostolate. We are humbly committed to imitating the Gospel life of Christ, and observing the Sacraments. Placing ourselves under strict and holy obedience to the Bishop of Steubenville, the Magisterium, and Father Nick Ward, we follow the Medieval Penitential First Rule of the Third Order of St. Francis, dated 1221 A.D.
In Taming the Wolf I attempt to capture the legacy of Francis in the context of peacemaking.
I agree with you that we need to go forth with the Face of a Franciscan, a face that says, I see the divine in you. A face that welcomes them to come into the presence of the Holy Spirit.
We do need to win souls. Time to hit the road, two by two, to meet others with the Face of a Franciscan.
Yes, Greg, you, John Micahel Talbot, and I are all on the same wavelength here. It is time for us to go two by two, remembering that every step we take, every place we plant our feet, we proclaim as the Kingdom of God! The timing has never been more perfect...
Peace be with you.
