Rise Immediately To Pray

"If the servant of God, as may happen, is disturbed in any way, he should rise immediately to pray and he should remain in the presence of the heavenly Father until he restores unto him the joy of salvation."

Saint Francis of Assisi
Celano, Second Life

  1. Your blog is lovely! The quotes of St. Francis are wonderful! I especially like this one. I often have trouble sleeping at night, so I take a rosary to bed with me and when I wake in the early morning hours, that rosary is right there to remind me to pray. Those repetitions of the "Ave" prayer lull me right back to sleep before I can ever finish the rosary!

  2. Thank you and may God continue to bless you, Anne!

Yes, I also am unable to remember the last time I finished the Rosary at night. Do you think that is perhaps the reason why St. Francis slept on stones, just so he could get all the way through the five decades...???!!!???
