Love For Jesus

Francis was intimately united with Jesus - Jesus always in his heart, Jesus on his lips, Jesus in his ears, Jesus in his hands, Jesus in all other members of his body. How many times he would be eating dinner and would hear or mention or think about Jesus and forget to eat, so that, as we read about one of the saints,"looking he did not see, and listening he did not hear."

I need all these reminders of yours, Brother Lesser.

I remember one Easter Sunday when there was so much.. so much GIFT, I could not bear the extra bounty of the abundance of delicious food before me, sat down to with loved ones, in safety and peace. Oh, why me, why me?? Why not everyone?? In lieu of a handful of ashes to throw on my food, I didn't gravy, salt or real-butter it. lol, that doesn't sound like a whopping offering, I know, but it was the only one I could make so that no one would notice.

    Love in Christ,
    H
