When You Are Honored And Extolled

Blessed are you, servant of God, if you do not consider yourself any better when you are honored and extolled by others than when you are considered low and simple and despised; for what you are before God, that is what you are, and no more.

Admonition 19

  1. Yes, this is something that can take a long time to attain, isn't it, with His grace; to arrive at a place where neither praise nor criticism affects the soul. Total humility and abandonment.

  2. Yes, gabrielle, if we ever accomplish it at all, or even come close.

  3. God has a way of humbling us when we don't humble ourselves. Usually it's in a dramatic way. When we hear those words, "At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, in the heavens, on the earth, and under the earth," that is exactly what we will do, either under our own unction or by God's !!! But it will happen !!!
